5/1 CORAL PIT CLEAN UP!

Greetings Guam Airsoft players,

It's almost time, we are heading closer to Sunday, I am so excited to see all of us working hard to improve our game sites and organize what we built.
This Sunday May 1, 2011 is our CLEAN UP DAY/Construction, We will need all the man power that we can get. This day will not be easy, we have so much things to do and so much ideas just floating in the air that we can make happen! But we all need you for it.

We are planning to start VERY EARLY! I'm talking about before the sun gets hot. But the question is how many people can wake up early for this day? We are planning to start 7am this Sunday.
I've gotten a small V8 engine flat bed/big truck for this Sunday. I'm afraid this WILL NOT be enough for transporting our pallets and metals to the site. I'm also worried about this truck because it is kind of old. Is there anyone else bringing a truck? or can bring another flat bed?
We are also going to bbq pot luck style. I believe someone will bring the grill and charcoal. We need this input by FRIDAY 4/29 so we know who is bringing what. So we don't just have rice at the site and have at least have meat to nibble on. LOL.

This day is the due date for the Fee as well. There are so much to buy, our money in the box at the moment is not enough to buy all the materials that will be used this Sunday, We will need Paint, nails, screws, metals, banners, signage, plywood, tags, gas(for chainsaw & bushcutters), and the list can go on. Just to name a few that is necessary to make all this happen.

Sniper Towers, bunkers(from tires), pallet set up, and parking will also be designated this day.. I cannot even mention the projects we need to do for this Sunday, frankly, it's overwhelming, exciting, and already a lot of work even before we start to sweat. But I can tell you now that this site can be the best in Guam if done properly.

As far as parking, I can't really answer your question, I guess depends on how low your car is, I think you can make it in and park to the left, that's the flatest area, just some rocks and stuff that needs to be cleared.

There will be a small group of GAP members doing clean up today. They will mainly be bringing tires and if finished, some pallets too. I know that about 5-6 people will be participating today. You are all welcome to join them. I believe they will be playing after wards. If you are interested, please text me and i'll reply you the coordinators name. If you know Halver, he will be in charge of today's clean up.. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT HALVER AND THE REST OF THE MEMBERS!

As far as parking, We will be clearing out some trees on Sunday morning, So we will be putting and assigning designated parking to try and accomodate all members.

Thank you for all that came out and helped this Sunday and Saturday, It was very successful! The rain kinda slowed us down but didn't stop us from building and playing.
As you see, there are still a lot of work that needs to be done. We will probably take the next Sunday off for clean up so everyone gets to get their gun barrels lubed.
The next clean up will be scheduled and will be announced here and/or on Facebook.
For those that attended and didn't have an idea of the Fees, the deadline for you guys are two weeks from now(5/22/11). We will take role call from our list. And sorry to say, if you're name is not there, you won't be able to play. Not that we are being pushy about it, But we really need funds for the necessary equipment and materials for the build up. Just the banner(that the mayor required)alone will cost 100.00 dollars. This is not including the canopy that will be built that i'm sure everyone will run into when it rains. Please turn in your app and fee to our officers as soon as you can.

There are also missing items on the field that day. A yellow cooler, hammer and a gun clip on the field. If you have these items, please post it so we can give it back to its rightful owner.

All in all, everyone did a great job participating on this clean up. I can't wait for the next one.
We should be getting more pallets, spools and other things for next scheduled day.
Trash also needs to be picked up. I noticed a lot of nails.(got one inside my foot myself).

I didn't play Sunday, but from what I heard, it was a good day of game, everyone was calling out and had no problems with zombies, it makes our community proud that we don't have to deal with this problem... for now, hopefully it will keep this way. Thank you!!

Yes, GAP accomplished quite a bit despite the rain. We were able to prep the Pit and test it out. The outcome turned out great even if only being partially complete. Imagine when it is at 100%. Although, I believe that it will never be 100% with a lot of great ideas that the community will come up with, which is not a bad thing.

In regards to the banner, how about we have it done in the PI? You could probably print out 10 to 20 banners for less than $50.00. We could get more bang for our money and still save for other projects.

We have done some cleanup these past couple of weekends but we don't have anywhere to throw the trashbags. I passed the pit yesterday and the trashbags we left were ripped open, mostly likely by boonies dogs. This has been a problem in other gamesites. Do we have anywhere to to throw them?

In the meetings or on this forum, will the list of registered/paid players be posted and will there be an announcement of the breakdown of funds dispersed?

Well, just a few suggestions/ideas that came to mind.

Again, great job GAP and to those that participated. The community is taking steps in the right direction. Hopefully the camaraderie and generous assistance will continue to grow and develop with our ersoft brothers and sisters.
